The Rabbitohs The spirit of this club and the reasons I am so proud to be associated with this legendary club is best expressed in these two addresses by Robert Holmes a Court and Russel Crowe Since the history-making vote on 19 March, when Members voted overwhelmingly to let Russell Crowe and myself take control of this great Club, we have worked hard to come to this point - the starting line to a new era for the NRL`s most successful club. Believe me, neither Russell nor I underestimate the job ahead, which includes the challenge of turning around an underperforming Club in the ruthless business environment of Rugby League. However, we are prepared to take on this challenge. At times many of the changes we make will be hidden, and at other times they will be public and appropriately trumpeted. But we know our first step must be to rebuild a winning culture. Peter Holmes a Court This Club means so much to so many people, so when Peter and I saw an opportunity to step in and help, we had to take it. I`ve been a Rabbitohs supporter for as long as I can remember and I have felt the same elation as you when we have won, and the same despair when we haven`t. That is why Peter and I felt that we could infl uence this organisation in a positive manner and have closer ties to the Club that we both love. Every South Sydney supporter wants success, and Peter and I will stop at nothing to reach the success that we all crave. We need to take thousands of small steps before we can take big strides.
