A Word for Sponsorship proposal I have been a local in the Wollongong area, all my life, I started judo at the age of 6 at the Berkeley judo club in the mid 70s, at the old Berkeley community Hall and have not looked back. I have been involved in Judo for the past 34years competing at the highest level, from state, National, International, including world cups, Olympic trials and national teams for both Australia & Malta. I am also a qualified Senior instructor / examiner in not only judo but Pangration Jujutsu & mixed martial arts, having worked with special interest groups from tactical unarmed training to clients with disabilities Im a professional trainer I am accredited with the Australian Sports Commission, National Coaching Accreditation Scheme level 2, nationally qualified and holder of the Masters coaching license. For child protection and working with children information I am the holder of the National certified blue card which is your guarantee (under the WCC act) that I am safe and qualified to teach, train and interact with children on any training and education level I am also the state coach instructor & examiner with the NSW Kodokan Judo Association (affiliated with the Australian Kodokan Judo Association) and the NSW Judo Federation (affiliated with the Australian Judo Federation). I am trying to develop a safe program that all the community can use with your help we can do this please read the program proposal. Scope of the program : Judo S.A.F.E program is aimed at offering families that are less fortunate in being able to offer there kids a chance to participate in a sporting activity that is fun, easy and educational, Its aimed at reducing obesity increase a more healthy active social life style within a community whilst at the same time reducing any antisocial behaviours by providing training and education that will better educate all those who attend. Program offer: judo S.A.F.E program offers all the community from 6-year of age and up a chance to participate in a program that consists of training in the afternoon from 5:15pm finishing at 7:30pm. Classes will consist of providing lesson of safety rolls, falls, from the front back side ways, teamwork interaction, problem solving, coordination, stranger danger self defence that will consist modules of the kodokan judo manual that will teach members basics need to know judo that has NO striking format at all making it simple fun and easy to learn. Benefit for the kids : judo S.A.F.E program benefits and skills obtained are enormous, kids not only learn how to defend themselves by way of learning sports judo but all students will become self disciplined, be more motivated, have more self confidence become more coordinated, be able to interact on a social level with other kids, become less stressed, learn problem solving, gain an increase in attention span, become healthier by lowering obesity level whilst increasing fitness, obtain the skills to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of school yard bullying, judo S.A.F.E program will get kids of the lounge and back out side doing something active by keeping them interested in staying at sports judo or another activity. Benefit for the community (this include schools) : Judo S.A.F.E program benefits for the community and schools is the knowledge of knowing the judo S.A.F.E program is school and home friendly as there is NO STRIKING formats of any kind in the program. The stamping out of anti social behaviours would be of a main interest to the community and schools with reduction in the risk of becoming a victim. Community and schools would see changes in a child`s social interaction abilities, thus creating a feel safe environment for kids to interact without feeling threatened at any time. Schools would notice a child`s increase in their attention span, not to mention an increase in the number of kids running around at school due to lowering obesity and increasing fitness levels. They would see a change in a child who is normally shy and has low self-esteem, improve to having more self-confidence in their ability to communicate and become involved in what other kids are doing. Most importantly to keep the kids involved in a sporting activity that will continue to provide a valuable means of fun playing that is both educational and fun In order for this program ti reach its heights I am trying to open up another judo club at Shellcove and Bulli this way wollongong judo will be able to provide a program that is not out of reach to all the Illawarra, for this to go ahead, I need to purchase mats. Judo mats are specialist mats and need to be a certain thickness. I have worked out that I will need approximately 125 mats, each mat costing $225.00. The best part of this program would be, the mats will be divided up to reopen old judo centres at Bulli and shell cove (a new area) for the purpose of benefiting the whole community for areas such as lowering obesity, stamping out anti social behaviours, increasing motivation self confidence and increasing social interaction, this is a great chance for all. Schools would be able to take part in interactive school sports programs with judo being in areas that are not to far I would appreciate it if your company would consider sponsorship of this new sports judo proposal by donating the money to buy a matting or even if you know of a hall we could deliver this program would be a great help. In return, your name would be mentioned in all our advertising, from monthly news letters, placing banners at our interactive events and training and on our advertisement which is delivered throughout the illawarra 4 times a year& where possible the newspapers, The Also your company would be advertised on the Judo Club Website with a link to your website.
